TSP has been used for over a century as one of the most effective heavy-duty cleaning agents for removing grease, wax, oil, soot, smoke residue, paint residue, mildew stains, and general grime from surfaces. In the construction industry, TSP is the standard surface preparation cleaner used before painting or applying coatings — removing all surface contamination and providing a clean, deglossed surface for maximum paint adhesion.
