Detailed Description
Agricultural Gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O) is the workhorse soil amendment for reclaiming sodic and saline-sodic soils across Oman's irrigated regions — a common problem where saline groundwater raises exchangeable sodium and destroys soil structure. Gypsum supplies soluble calcium that displaces sodium from the cation exchange complex, restoring aggregate structure and water infiltration. Also a non-acidifying calcium and sulphur nutrient source (23% Ca, 18% S) for peanuts, alfalfa, and forage crops. Global Chemicals LLC supplies mined agricultural gypsum in 25 kg bags and 1,000 kg big bags.
