Hydrogen peroxide 35% is one of the most widely used industrial concentrations — offering significant oxidising power while being more manageable than higher-concentration grades (50%, 60%, 70%). It is a clear, colourless liquid that decomposes to water and oxygen, leaving no halogen residues — making it a preferred bleaching and oxidising agent where chlorine-free processes are required. In the textile industry, H2O2 35% is the standard bleaching agent for cotton, synthetic fibres, and blended fabrics, producing bright whites without fibre degradation. In food processing, food-grade 35% H2O2 is used for aseptic packaging sterilisation (Tetra Pak and similar systems), surface disinfection, and bleaching of flours, oils, and starches.
