TEA (Triethanolamine)

Triethanolamine (TEA, tris(2-hydroxyethyl)amine, CAS 102-71-6) is a tertiary alkanolamine with broad industrial applications. As a surfactant and emulsifier, TEA neutralises fatty acids to form soaps (TEA-lauryl sulphate, TEA-stearate) used in personal care products, metalworking fluids, and polishes. As a cement grinding aid, TEA is one of the most widely used additives in cement mills globally — dosed at 0.01–0.05% during clinker grinding, it improves mill efficiency, increases cement fineness, and improves early strength development.
